Lions Gate Tarot Spread

August 8th and The Lions Gate

The Lions Gate - it’s a thing. Seriously, it really is. Here’s some info to explain further, (and yes, I know you are thinking about the astrological event - but I’ll get to that);

The Lions Gate in Mycenae is a sculpture that forms an actual gateway. It is made of two animals facing each other with their front paws on two altar-like tables. Thought to be the first major sculpture found on mainland Greece, it’s said to be a masterpiece of ancient engineering. Very impressive,Its symbolic use of lions represents power, protection, and authority, reflecting the dominance of the Mycenaean civilisation.

There is also a Lions Gate in Jerusalem and this gate marks the spot where Jesus began his walk from the old city of Jerusalem to Golgotha where he was crucified. This gateway is close to a Muslim cemetery that has ideological connections to ‘Judgment Day.’ It was also the site of the stoning of St. Stephen, the first Christian martyr which is why this Lions Gate is sometimes called St Stephens Gate.

But now to the energetic portal known as the Lions Gate…

This year, the Lion's Gate Portal is a bit 'extra special’, because it is happening just one day before the Full Moon in Aquarius. This makes it a more powerful time to tune into your dreams and bring them into reality.

The Lions Gate happens every year. It’s an astrological event that is said to be a time of high spiritual significance, where the sun aligns with the star Sirius and Earth. This alignment is believed to create a powerful portal that opens up new opportunities for personal growth, manifestation, and spiritual awakening. It's a time to set intentions, release old patterns, and embrace transformation.
