The Best Day for a Tarot Reading
As a long time Tarot Reader, it’s probably obvious that I think every day is a good day to consult the Tarot - and I often do. There are however, some really special days that you might like to plan having a Tarot Reading on, and I’ll share my version of those with you here.
So, the eight seasonal points on the ‘Wheel of the Year’ are great times to plan a reading. These days have natural and historical significance which can add something special to the ritual of doing a reading;
Summer Solstice - on or around December 21st
Lammas - around February 1st
Autumn Equinox - on or around March 21st
Winter Solstice - on or close to June 21st
Imbolc - August 1st or close to that
Spring Equinox - This occurs around the 21st of September
Beltane - Usually on November 1st.
Likewise, doing a reading on a particular day of the week can add a certain flavour or extra energy to your enquiries with the Tarot, or any spiritual work you choose to do;
Sunday for success, wealth and fame.
Monday for fertility and growth, and increasing beauty.
Tuesday for strength and courage to deal successfully with a difficult situation.
Wednesday for communication, change, and bringing in a positive change in fortune.
Thursday for healing, protection and prosperity.
Friday for love, friendship, romance and fertility.
Saturday for protection, banishing negativity, and increasing your spiritual powers.
I particularly like doing readings for myself towards the end of the year, and I use the process as a way of reflecting back over the year thats been. It is such a lovely way to acknowledge and ‘ground’ the lessons that have been learnt, to give attention to the gems of experience that have been gathered. When I make the time to sit with the cards with this intention, there is a real sense of peace that settles over me. The perspective gained from ‘seeing’ in this way, is so empowering. I find it prepares me well for the year to come.
The other days that are really great for having a reading, or doing one for yourself are your birthday, and on or around the 1st of January.
If you’d like to book a reading with me, you can check out available dates and times here, and if you’d like to join us in January to learn the Tarot, live and in person, you can get more information or book your place on that course here.
Sending you the goodest good wishes.
