Autumn Tarot Spread

A Tarot Spread for Autumn

In Albury, where I live, autumn typically occurs from March to May. The exact dates can vary slightly from year to year, but generally, autumn starts in late March and continues through April and into May. During this time, the weather in Albury usually becomes cooler as the region transitions from the hot summer months to the colder winter season. Autumn is an important time. It’s a time for final celebrations, gatherings and activities before the cold winter rolls in and we ourselves turn inwards and become more quiet on many levels.

This is a Tarot spread specifically designed for autumn. You can use it at any point within the season.

Method: Shuffle the Tarot cards, then lay them out face down. Select seven cards, one at a time with your left hand. Lay each of the cards face down on your table or scarf. Now you read the words written below for the first position and then turn over the first of your seven Tarot cards. Think about how the card you have turned face up relates or answers the ‘question’ that is posed by what is written in position number one (The Harvest). I think it’s a good idea to record your thoughts in a special book. Now repeat the process for the remaining six cards.

The Positions in the Tarot Spread

1. The Harvest: This card represents the fruits of your labor and the blessings you have received in your life. It signifies the areas where you have experienced growth, abundance, and success.

2. The Release: This card signifies what needs to be released or let go of during this season. It represents the aspects of your life that no longer serve you, allowing you to create space for new beginnings.

3. The Gratitude: This card represents the things you can be grateful for in your life. It highlights the blessings, relationships, and experiences that have brought you joy and fulfillment.

4. The Reflection: This card signifies the importance of introspection and reflection during this time. It offers insights into what lessons you have learned and how you can integrate them into your life moving forward.

5. The Transformation: This card represents the transformations and changes that are occurring or need to occur in your life. It encourages you to embrace the cycles of change and transformation that are natural during this season.

6. The Preparation: This card signifies the preparations you need to make for the coming months. It offers guidance on the practical steps you can take to ensure a smooth transition and to align with the energies of the autumn equinox.

7. The Balance: This card represents the need for balance and harmony during this season. It offers insights into finding equilibrium in your life, balancing your commitments, and nurturing your well-being.

Remember, Tarot readings are subjective and open to interpretation. Take your time to reflect on each card and its message, and trust your own insights and inner guidance as you interpret the cards. As always, if you would like a personal reading, you can book one online.
