Sound Healing
Healing sounds refer to any sound that has a therapeutic effect. Think about sounds like the wind in the trees, ocean waves, or a babbling brook, birds chirping. You get the idea.
The power and beauty of a Native American hand made drum being struck repeatedly over or above your body can tune you in to your own heartbeat, shift negativity and bring on a real sense of calm and cleansing.
These sorts of sounds are used in sound therapy to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and improve general well-being.
Healing frequencies, on the other hand, specifically refer to the frequencies of sound waves that are believed to have healing properties. These frequencies are measured in Hertz (Hz) and are often associated with specific parts of the body, such as the Chakras or the organs.
To be completely honest, I dont have a truly in depth, technical understanding of the hertz frequencies, but I have been using them in the healing space and the relaxation response is observable, and many of my clients enjoy these sounds in the background as we work. I’ve also been using them myself.
Here’s a bit of a list that you might like to play with to address certain symptoms, situations or issues that you might be experiencing. After all, the best evidence is that which you experience yourself;
